Find Your People

Two Types of Groups. One Simple Goal

We know it's important to be connected, but it's hard to build lasting friendships. What if taking one simple step changed everything? At Oasis, we’re trying to make it easier for you to find people who share your interests. We know that when you get together with people and have fun, you’ll begin to grow into a strong community that serves and grows together. We’d ask you this…What if you are one step away from saying, these are my people!

We have developed two types of Groups to help you get connected into our church, those GroupTypes are…

LifeGroups

LifeGroups have one, simple purpose—to bring people together. We believe life change happens in the context of Relationships. Meaningful relationships can be hard to find, and LifeGroups exist to make life-changing relationships relevant and accessible to you. This group type is most flexible when it comes to catering to any age group and/or stage of life. These groups are intentionally designed to help adults build relationships in a safe community and practically apply Biblical truths to their day-to-day lives.

InterestGroups

Interest groups gather together around an activity or shared-interest. These groups are perfect for people who are looking to grow in a specific type of community or be challenged in a specific area of life. Interest groups are the most flexible group category as they include a diverse range of group types ranging from sports groups to craft groups. They are also great for anyone who wants to join a group mid-season or would like to bring friends with them as many of these groups are flexible in size and open for sign ups throughout the year.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is childcare provided?

Not all Groups offer childcare, but there are options available. LifeGroup members share the responsibility of watching the kids, split the cost for a sitter, or make other arrangements. Let us know if you would like to join a Group with a childcare option.

Where do Groups meet?

Groups meet in homes, restaurants, or coffee shops. Some Groups meet to ride bikes or go for a hike. We can help you find a Group near you and based on an activity you’re interested in.

How often do Groups meet?

Groups meet on different days and times throughout the week. Some meet every week, some meet every other week, or some meet once a month. Use the Group Finder to see when and how often each Group meets.

What will my Group do?

It depends on the kind of Group you choose. Some Groups serve on the same team at church. Other Groups study the Bible together. And some get together to enjoy a shared interest, such as hockey, Jeeps, or video games. Find all the Group options here.
